Father, Son, and Holy Ghost
In One true and living God I showed that
there is but one true and living God. Here I show that that One
is known in three persons--Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
(Holy Ghost).
Consider first Matthew 28:19 where Jesus said (quotes in the original):
"Go and make disciples of all people: Baptize them in the name of
the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, ..."
The oneness (uniqueness) of God, here, is indicated by "name" being
singular rather than plural; the plurality of God is demonstrated by
the three persons.
Next, consider Matthew 3:16-17 which reads (quotes in the original):
As soon as Jesus was baptized, He stepped out of the water, and now
heaven was opened, and He saw God's Spirit coming down on Him as a
dove. And a voice from heaven said, "This is My Son, whom I love
and delight in."
Actually, there only a few places in the Holy Bible where all three
persons in the Holy Trinity appear together in one (or two adjacent)
verses. Another one is in John 15:26 where Jesus says (quotes in
the original): "When the Comforter [another name for the Holy
Spirit] comes, whom I'll send you from the Father, the Spirit of
truth, who comes from the Father, He'll tell the truth about
Me. ..."
There are many places where two members of the Holy Trinity are
mentioned. There are also many places in the Holy Bible where
the members of the Holy Trinity demonstrate Divine attributes.
