The living God

The versed below show that not only is God living, but also He is aware of our actions and rules in the affairs of man forever.

Deuteronomy 5:26 reads: "What human being ever heard the living God speak out of the fire as we did and stayed alive?"

1 Samuel 17:36 quotes king David (before he was king) saying: "Your servant has struck down lions and bears, and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like them because he has defied the army of the living God."

2 Kings 19:16 shows more divine attributes: "Listen, LORD, and hear, Open Your eyes, LORD, and see, Hear what Sennacherib says, who sent someone to defy the living God."

Psalms 42:2 says: "I thirst for God, the living God: O when will I come and see the face of God?"

Jeremiah 10:10a: "But the LORD is really God, He is the living God and everlasting King, ..."

Jeremiah 23:26 compares man's words with God's words (quotes in the original): But don't mention the words "the LORD's burden" anymore because what a man says will be his burden, and you will twist the Word of the living God, the LORD of armies, my God?

Daniel 6:20 (after a night in the lion's den; original as quoted): As he [king Darius] came near the den where Daniel was, the king called Daniel with a loud voice "Daniel, you servant of the living God, was God, whom you always worship able to save you from the lions?"

Daniel 6:26 king Darius says: "I am making a decree: In every part of my kingdom people should tremble with fear before Daniel's God. He is the God who lives and continues forever, and His kingdom will never be overthrown; He will rule to the end."
